Folk Village

Updated: Sep 6, 2019

KFV (Korean Folk Village) is amazing, really stepping into the life of Koreans not that long ago. Until the 1900s Korea was still very much in the past. It wasn’t until the monarchy was removed, Japanese occupation extinguished, military control was revolted, and the first elected president was put in control that development started to happen. The president himself, much like the rest of Korea, was born into poverty and wanted that to change, and fast. Now, South Korea is one of the most developed countries in the world. (But, until the current president ‘Moon’ (so far) every president has been either assassinated or pushed out due to corruption….) This giant 245 acre Folk Village has boat rides, crafts courses, traditional tea rooms, even a small theme park, and the freedom to wonder around everywhere and soak in the culture.
