Bongeunsa Temple is in the heart of Gangnam, and just across the road from the COEX Mall. Temples are a great way to immerse yourself in Korea’s history and culture. Now a majority Christian country, these Buddhist temples are more of an attraction than a belief, but there are still a lot of people praying and monks guiding them so make sure to keep quiet and be respectful. You may also see lots of lanterns with paper hanging from them, these are peoples prayers and you’re welcome to read them and write one of your own if its available! Most of them are likely to be wishing for good grades in upcoming exams…
