DMZ (De-Militarised Zone)

Updated: Sep 7, 2019

This is a huge must for anyone visiting Korea. Taking a day or half day tour of the DMZ brings to life the situation going on in Korea. Whilst hopes are it may not be there much longer, I’m sure there will always be tours of the area. Anyone you meet in Korea will probably ask you if you’ve visited it, Korean citizens themselves are not allowed inside the DMZ unless they are stationed there during their compulsory 2 year military enlistment (this is only for males). So curiosity is probably their motive for asking the question. Taking a guided tour is the only way to visit, with different tours taking you to different areas and all teaching you new information about the split of the Koreas!
