Markets

Updated: Sep 7, 2019

Markets in Korea can be closely linked to street food (see ‘Street Food’ post). They are everywhere, you won’t be on a main street and not see at least one stall selling clothes for insanely cheap prices (11 pairs of socks for 10,000KRW?!) or anything else - food, accessories, groceries; you name it and they probably sell it along a street somewhere. Markets tend to be selling similar things for different prices, this fish market (Noryangjin Market) is a huge warehouse filled with all the seafood you could imagine. Make sure to get the ones still wriggling, that’s how you know its fresh!

Location - 674, Nodeul-ro, Dongjak-gu, Seoul

Opening Times - 24/7 but recommended early visit for the freshest and best fish!

Price - Varies depending on time and individual seller
